Our July book took us to England in the later part of the 14th century where the Plague, Feudalism and rumors of revolt intertwined with Crispin’s story.
We ate rabbit and big chunks of hearty bread. We drank “wine” from goblets.
We had an engaging discussion of the book and reflected on changes in the characters, Crispin’s faith in God and what the cross of lead meant to him….in such a beautiful setting! Juggling also occurred!
And then, we just played in the water and enjoyed the beach! Kayaking, paddleboarding, playing in the sand, watching the sunset.
All in all, another successful book club! Thanks to Sara and Will for hosting and Keren and Jordi-Luke for leading the discussion.
